Meet
Victoria and Paul, whose vision and determination (and very hard
work!) over the last couple of years has led to the launch of Once upon
a Tyne - bringing a range of coastal sports activities into the Northern
region of England - now accessible for all to experience first hand from
our central location on Beach Road in South Shields.
Raised in Sydney, Australia, Victoria now lives in the North East of England and
has witnessed many a surfer riding waves towards the golden shores on the
Eastern Australian Coast (including Bondi and Manly). Victoria has scuba
dived in the great barrier reef, white water rafted in Nepal and
abseiled down a waterfall in Skye. "The exhilaration of such
experiences cannot be duplicated except by participation and I am
delighted to be a part of bringing coastal sports activities into the
North East of England".
Paul, born and bred in the North East, has tried his hand at many
different coastal sports activities in the North East and has conquered a
fear of heights to rock climb 23,000mm high with plans for higher climbs on
the horizon! Literally.
At the very least, you can expect to have a damn good time. We challenge
you to have a go.
